Skilled Worker Stream

The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is for workers with the skills, education and work experience to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy, and who are ready to live and work in New Brunswick permanently.

Skilled Worker Stream

Eligibility

For consideration you must:

    • Be between the ages of 19-55
    • Have a High school diploma
    • Have at least one-year full-time work experience
    • Score a minimum of 4 on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) in either French or English
    • Have been offered a full-time job from an NB employer (your offer of employment must be genuine)
    • Your job is represented in one of the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill levels:

    -High-skilled workers are defined as individuals with an occupation within NOC 0, A, B.

    -Semi-skilled workers have occupations that fall under NOC C.

    -Low-skilled workers have occupations that fall under NOC D skill types 7, 8, and 9, as well as NOC 6711 (Food Counter Attendants) and NOC 6731 (Light-duty Cleaners).

    • Score a minimum of 60 points in the selection factors to be considered for nomination by PETL.
