Hopewell Rocks

Bay of Fundy

With the highest tides in the world, the Bay of Fundy is a true wonder of nature. Every day, over 100 billion tonnes of seawater form these giant tides. These tides rise up to 12 metres, a phenomenon which has carved out the unique landscape of the coastline and entire region. There are many ways to experience this gorgeous bay. At Hopewell Rocks, you can walk the ocean floor and at Cape Enrage you can abseil down cliff faces into the bay. Embark on a whale-watching excursion and capture breathtaking pictures of these sea creatures, or take the ferry across the bay to three distinct islands (Campobello Island, Deer Island and Grand Manan which called Fundy Sisters).
