🧠 Who Was Northrop Frye?
Northrop Frye (1912–1991) was one of the most influential literary critics and theorists of the 20th century. Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick, Frye is best known for his work on the structure of literature and myth—most notably through his groundbreaking book:

In this seminal work, Frye argued that literature operates through recurring patterns, archetypes, and mythological structures. His theory of “literary modes” and the “mythological framework” for understanding stories influenced generations of scholars and students.
