Welcome to Kings Landing’s 51st Season!
Step back in time and experience life in 19th-century New Brunswick at Kings Landing, one of Canada’s most immersive and beloved living history museums.
Stroll along dirt roads, chat with costumed villagers, hear the clip-clop of horse-drawn wagons, and soak in the stunning beauty of the Wolastoq (Saint John River) countryside.
🌊 About the Wolastoq (Saint John River)
Wolastoq, meaning “beautiful and bountiful river” in the Wolastoqey language, is the traditional name of what is now commonly known as the Saint John River. This river, which flows through the heart of New Brunswick, has sustained the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) people for thousands of years and remains a vital part of the province’s cultural and ecological heritage.
Kings Landing is set on a picturesque bend of the Wolastoq, offering not only breathtaking views but also a meaningful connection to the land’s Indigenous roots. The river shaped both the landscape and the lives of the people who lived here in the 19th century—and long before.
